The design of Pahadee Café was inspired by the simplicity of clean lines and timeless forms, envisioned as a contemporary interpretation of a Himalayan house. The café rests on a compact footprint, creating a striking presence that blends modernity with its natural surroundings.
Our aim was to craft more than just a cozy mountain retreat—it needed to reflect the modern yet grounded identity of Pahadee Coffee Roasters.
The clients emphasized the importance of natural light and the breathtaking views the site offered. The café’s glass-and-metal structure allows for seamless visual connections, framing spectacular views in all directions: the peaceful monastery to the north, vibrant sunsets over Bir to the west, vast fields stretching to the south, and soft morning light streaming through a skylight to the east.
A unique feature of the design is the series of bay windows, thoughtfully placed to frame the scenery while offering intimate, personal spaces for guests. These cozy nooks invite visitors to pause, unwind, and savor their coffee in solitude. As someone who treasures quiet moments by the window with a morning cup, this detail feels especially meaningful to us.
