For this project, we collaborated with Mamta, a local artisan from Sidhbari, who works with pine needles — a natural material abundantly found in the region and often discarded.

Using a market-bought metal frame as the base, Mamta intricately wove the outer skin of the lampshade by hand, creating a warm, textured fabric entirely from collected pine needles. The result is a piece that feels both earthy and refined, celebrating local craft while adding a soft, organic presence to the space.

These lampshades are not just light sources — they are stories of place, material, and collaboration, woven quietly into the interiors.
